Audio redaction software for records offices and legal teams
Redact a recording by reading it.
Your reviewer decides every flagged moment.
RecordBeacon turns a call or interview recording into a transcript you can read. Each spoken detail that may need to come out waits for your reviewer.
On the walkthrough we play a scripted sample call, or your own recording if your policy allows. No card to try it yourself.
From one recording to a released copy.
01
Upload the recording
It becomes a readable transcript, so what someone said is reviewed the same way a document is.
02
Spoken details are flagged
A name, an address, a phone number or a medical detail said out loud is flagged in the transcript, with the reason it was raised.
03
Your reviewer decides
Approve or reject each flag. Release refuses to run while anything is undecided.
04
Release the muted copy
The moments your reviewer approved are muted, and the release carries who decided what and when.
Muted means checked.
Every muted range is checked again for speech that survived. If any did, the release stops until someone fixes it.
A person decides each flagged moment, and the copy is checked again after they do.
For a records response or a case file.
Records offices
Calls and interview recordings are reviewed by the same named reviewer as the reports beside them. Intake, routing and the deadline clock stay wherever they are today.
Public records redaction for agencies and public records laws by state.
Legal teams
Interview tapes and litigation recordings get a record of who decided each mark, like every page in the production.
How it works for law firms and the questions to ask any redaction vendor.

- United States regions only. Records do not leave them.

- Role-based access.
- Encryption in transit and at rest.
